20,000 Downloads for Handbook Integrated Care
A book co-written by Centre knowledge partners Dr Nick Goodwin and Viktoria Stein from the International Foundation for Integrated Care has reportedly attracted more than 20,000 downloads. The book, Handbook Integrated Care was launched last June and according to publisher Springer it has attracted almost 23,000 downloads.
The handbook is split into four distinct sections, including the conceptual basis of integrated care; the different management aspects; an analysis of the potential for integrated care in select patient groups and a series of examples from eight health systems.
The handbook gives profound insight into the main ideas and concepts of integrated care. It offers a managed care perspective with a focus on patient orientation, efficiency, and quality by applying widely recognised management approaches to the field of health care. The handbook also provides international best practices and shows how integrated care does work throughout various health systems.
