Telstra Health & TechnologyOne Collaboration Integrates Aged Care Solutions

Residential aged care provider Infinite Care has become the first aged care provider to implement TechnologyOne and Telstra Health’s integrated aged care solution.

Infinite Care is redefining a new generation of residential aged care. It’s resident-centric approach is recognised for its holistic, innovative and responsive aged care services and they are well known for investing heavily in IT.

Infinite Care’s most recent IT investment comes in the form of a partnership between Telstra Health and TechnologyOne, which promises to deliver a new generation of aged care software. The software integrates the resident administration and Medicare claiming capabilities of Telstra Health’s Resident Manager software, with the the financial capabilities of TechnologyOne’s OneAgedCare solution.

According to Infinite Care’s Director of People and Corporate Services, Rebecca Pacey, the software is a seamless aged care solution they couldn’t say no to.

“Like many organisations we wanted to minimise the number of systems and solutions we use. We were looking for a solution that gave us the ability to scale information management and reporting, as well as provide efficiencies from combining our multiple solutions into one.”

Implementation across all Infinite Care sites automates a wide range of back office functions, reducing the time taken to prepare and submit information to Medicare. There’s limited double handling and information is kept up-to-date and timely for business reporting.

According to Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) Chief Executive Officer Sean Rooney, innovation and collaborations such as that seen by Telstra Health and TechnologyOne are imperative to responding to increasing demand, changing expectations, productivity pressures, new models of care, technological advances and business model disruption.

He says the focus on new technologies is to produce outcomes such as independence and re-ablement, workforce efficiency, quality of life and ageing well.
